Use it only when the decision is real
A useful evaluator has multiple promotion-eligible products, product-level revenue and costs, some promotion history, and a fixed budget that genuinely needs allocation. Decline the paid service when the portfolio lacks usable history, there is no meaningful allocation choice, execution is required, or proven causal lift is required.
Run the no-payment evaluation
1. Download the dependency-free runner
Invoke-WebRequest https://killionapps.com/pilot/run-pilot.mjs -OutFile run-pilot.mjs
2. Run against the public sample
node .\run-pilot.mjs --run-class external-participant --output pilot-receipt.json
The external-participant classification is self-attested. KillionApps treats it as DECLARED until a person reviews the signed receipt; it is never automatically presented as verified demand.
3. Optionally validate your own portfolio
node .\run-pilot.mjs --run-class external-participant --input C:\path\to\portfolio.json --output pilot-receipt.json
The runner sends the portfolio to the free validation endpoint, requests a server-signed receipt, verifies that signature locally, and excludes the raw portfolio and product names from the receipt. Do not publish raw portfolio data.
What a passing receipt proves
- The official MCP Registry contains exactly one active/latest KillionApps record.
- The canonical integration manifest and Agent Card agree on identity and status.
- The quote discloses the fixed $5 USD price, experimental status, and evidence boundary.
- The schema is reachable and the candidate portfolio passes free structural validation.
- The redacted receipt signature verifies against the published Ed25519 public key.
- No payment credential was supplied and no execution authority was granted.
A passing pilot is integration evidence, not proof that the allocation model improves profit. Model performance remains UNVALIDATED_FORWARD.
Optional 402 boundary check
node .\run-pilot.mjs --run-class external-participant --challenge --output pilot-receipt.json
This makes one credential-free request to the paid route, requires HTTP 402 with the Payment authentication scheme, and stops. It does not retry and cannot pay.
Return the redacted receipt
Review pilot-receipt.json, then email only that signed envelope and bounded integration feedback. Never attach the source portfolio. KillionApps verifies the signature before treating the submission as reviewable evidence; a receipt is not a paid transaction or a performance result.
